Summer night tours at the Bioparco in Rome
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Safari Night events are the summer night tours of the Bioparco of Rome, the historic zoological garden located within Villa Borghese, in the city of Rome, Lazio. For a few evenings in summer, the park remains open after sunset, offering a unique experience compared to daytime visits: a guided walk through the paths of the Bioparco, when many animals are at their most active.
Accompanied by the park's guides, visitors explore the paths amidst soft lighting and unexpected sounds, learning to observe the animals with fresh eyes. Along the way, it is possible to encounter giraffes, rhinos, zebras, lemurs, big cats, penguins, elephants, and many other species, discovering their curiosities and surprising nocturnal behaviors. The tours take place in small groups for a more intimate and engaging experience.
Safari Night has become a staple of Roman summers: an original way to experience the Bioparco and Villa Borghese in a new light, away from the heat and crowds of the daytime. The initiative combines entertainment with scientific outreach, bringing adults and children closer to the animal world and the themes of nature conservation and biodiversity.
Situated in the upper part of Villa Borghese and easily accessible from the city center, the Bioparco is one of the most beloved destinations for families in the Metropolitan City of Rome. The night tours represent one of the highlights of its summer calendar of activities and events in Lazio.
