A race in the green Brianza
The Ruginello Run is the non-competitive running event that enlivens the hamlet of Ruginello, in Vimercate, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza, every year. It is a neighbourhood race with a genuine feel, winding through dirt roads, fields, and paths between Ruginello and Vimercate, enhancing the agricultural and rural landscape on the outskirts of the city.
Three routes for everyone
The event offers three routes of different lengths, designed to welcome runners, walkers, and families. The start is from the Circolo San Giovanni Bosco, on via Diaz, in the heart of Ruginello. The registration fee is low, in line with the popular and accessible spirit of the event.
A festival organized by the neighbourhood
The race is organized by the Associazione Amici di Ruginello (Friends of Ruginello Association) together with ASD Robur Ruginello 1948, the same entities that animate the life of the neighbourhood throughout the year, from Carnival to social initiatives. The Ruginello Run is therefore much more than a race: it is a moment of community.
Ruginello Run — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Ruginello Run, the seventh, is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2026, starting from the Circolo San Giovanni Bosco on via Diaz in Ruginello (Vimercate). The non-competitive race offers three routes on dirt roads, fields, and paths and is organized by the Associazione Amici di Ruginello together with ASD Robur Ruginello 1948.

How to get there
The start is at Circolo San Giovanni Bosco, via Armando Diaz 19, in the hamlet of Ruginello in Vimercate (Monza and Brianza). The city is connected to Monza and Milan by tram-train and bus; by car, it can be reached from the Tangenziale Est of Milan.
