Rossini Concerts return to Fabriano
The G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra returns to the Gentile Theatre in Fabriano, in the province of Ancona, with its Rossini Concerts series. Two evenings, in February and March, bring a musical proposal to the heart of this Marche city that combines the great symphonic repertoire with the desire to experiment with new languages, speaking to both classical music enthusiasts and a younger, curious audience.
Two evenings, two sound worlds
The first event, "The Barber in Comics", is an original project where Gioachino Rossini's most sparkling opera meets manga drawings projected on stage: a surprising dialogue between operatic tradition and Japanese pop culture, between music and images. The second, "An American in Paris", is a journey into the twentieth century suspended between European elegance and transatlantic vitality, with pieces by George Gershwin and Francis Poulenc and a tribute to the composer Riz Ortolani.
A great orchestra in the Marche region
The G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra is one of the leading musical institutions in the Marche region, and the Fabriano series is part of a broader program that also includes other cities in the region, such as Ascoli Piceno and Pesaro. In Fabriano, the concerts are held in the historic Gentile Theatre, a nineteenth-century gem named after the painter Gentile da Fabriano.

How to get there
By car: Fabriano exit from the SS 76 Ancona–Rome. By train: Fabriano station on the Rome–Ancona line, a few minutes from the historic center. The theatre is located in the heart of the city, within walking distance.
Tickets
Single ticket €10, reduced €5 (under 30s and members of Amici dell'Orchestra). Advance booking online at www.vivaticket.it and at the Gentile Theatre box office (tel. 0732 3644), open on the two days preceding the performance (4–7 PM) and on the evening of the concert from 7 PM until the start.
