Floriculture, rosé wines, and Apulian excellence in the heart of Ruvo di Puglia
Every May, Ruvo di Puglia, an elegant town in the Metropolitan City of Bari famous worldwide for its Jatta Museum and ceramic tradition, dresses up for Rose e Rosati. The event, promoted by the Pro Loco of Ruvo di Puglia with the support of the Municipality and the Puglia Region, celebrates two local excellences: floriculture—Ruvo is one of the most important districts in the South for the cultivation of roses and ornamental plants—and rosé wines, authentic ambassadors of Apulian oenology.
For two days, the historic center and the central Piazza Matteotti are filled with gastronomic and floral stands, amidst blooming flowerbeds, tastings, and crafts. The heart of the event is the meeting between producers, sommeliers, chefs, and visitors: masterclasses dedicated to rosés, show cooking with local stars, conferences on the future of the rose supply chain, and evening shows that animate the square until late at night.
Rose e Rosati is also an opportunity to explore the area: from walks through the alleys of the old town to excursions in the Alta Murgia National Park, a UNESCO-recognized Geopark that surrounds the city. An event that combines hospitality, sustainability, and the promotion of local products, capable of attracting thousands of visitors every year from all over Puglia and beyond, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated spring appointments in the province of Bari.
The 2026 edition of Rose e Rosati animated Ruvo di Puglia for the entire weekend of May 16 and 17, confirming the format that combines floriculture, food and wine, culture, and entertainment. The heart of the event was the central Piazza Matteotti, with gastronomic and floral stands, joined by the iconic locations of the historic center. The event was organized as always by the Pro Loco of Ruvo di Puglia, with the support of the Municipality and the Puglia Region.
The heart of the event is Piazza Matteotti, in the center of Ruvo di Puglia (BA), with events spread throughout the historic center, at Palazzo Caputi, and at the Corte del Castello Melodia.
Ruvo di Puglia can be reached by car via the SS16 and A14 (Trani/Andria or Bari Nord exits). The city is served by the Ferrovie del Nord Barese railway station, with connections from Bari and Barletta.
Access to the stands and squares is free. Guided tours of the city's heritage and excursions are free but require mandatory booking with the Pro Loco of Ruvo di Puglia.
