Innovation, digital art, and technology at WeGil in Trastevere
The Rome Tech Fest is the capital's first festival entirely dedicated to the synergistic encounter between innovation, art, and new digital technologies. Conceived by the Progetto Bridges Association with the support of the Lazio Region and the patronage of Roma Capitale, the event was created with the mission of making the languages of innovation accessible, building a bridge between institutions, professionals, and citizens. Technology is presented as a tool for social connection and collective growth, in an inclusive space where skills meet and ideas circulate freely.
The festival spans three days, each with a specific theme. AI Friday (June 5th) is dedicated to artificial intelligence, quantum computing, creativity, and the ethical and regulatory implications of new technologies, featuring a roundtable titled «AI: between rights, protections, and opportunities». Smart Saturday (June 6th) delves into Smart City models and urban transformation projects. Innovation Sunday (June 7th) closes the event by addressing the relationship between digitalization, environmental sustainability, and new technological frontiers.
The second edition of the Rome NFT Week takes place within the Rome Tech Fest, an initiative already awarded as the best event dedicated to NFTs, blockchain, and digital art at the «Roma Smart City Awards 24». The public can explore an international exhibition featuring works by Italian and international artists, immersive virtual and augmented reality installations, and phygital works that integrate physical artifacts with digital certification via NFC and blockchain technology. Hundreds of works are presented on advanced high-definition multimedia platforms.
Beyond exhibitions and installations, the program features talks and panels with industry experts—moments of exchange designed to bring the general public closer to the themes of innovation. Rome Tech Fest is aimed at professionals, enthusiasts, students, and families, with an educational and participatory approach that values dialogue between the research world, businesses, and the community.
The chosen venue is WeGil, located at Largo Ascianghi 5, a historic rationalist building in the Trastevere district converted into a multifunctional cultural hub for the Lazio Region. Its location, in the Municipality of Rome and the heart of Trastevere, combines architectural memory with a contemporary vision, offering an ideal setting for a festival looking toward the future. The event, free and open to all, helps make Rome and the Lazio region a reference point for digital culture.
The first edition of the Rome Tech Fest takes place from June 5th to 7th, 2026, within the spaces of WeGil, at Largo Ascianghi 5 in the Trastevere district of Rome. Access is free, with continuous hours from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The program is structured over three thematic days—AI Friday, Smart Saturday, and Innovation Sunday—guiding the public through artificial intelligence, Smart City models, and environmental sustainability. The second edition of the Rome NFT Week enriches the event with international digital art exhibitions, virtual and augmented reality installations, and phygital works based on NFC and blockchain technology.

WeGil, Largo Ascianghi 5, Trastevere district, Rome (Lazio).
The venue is easily accessible by public transport: trams and buses heading toward Trastevere, with the Roma Trastevere railway station a short distance away. By car, we recommend using local parking facilities, given the traffic restrictions in the city center.
The festival is open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on all three days. Admission is free and open to the public.
