Rome's week of artificial intelligence, featuring Codemotion and Maker Faire Rome
Rome AI & Tech Week is the major new event that, from March 28 to April 1, 2026, transforms the capital into Italy's hub for artificial intelligence, innovation, and digital culture. Promoted by Codemotion and Maker Faire Rome alongside the Rome Chamber of Commerce (via the PID - Digital Enterprise Point project), the event debuts in 2026, gathering over 3,000 attendees, 100+ national and international speakers, and 50 companies across various districts of Rome.
This week is more than just a conference; it is an itinerary that guides artificial intelligence from experimentation to governance:
The event spans some of the city's most iconic locations: the post-industrial Gazometro Ostiense, now the heart of the ROAD innovation district; the monumental Palazzo dei Congressi in the EUR district; and the spaces at Binario F. This geography highlights contemporary Rome, blending industrial archaeology with frontier technologies within the Metropolitan City of Rome, in the Lazio region.
Rome AI & Tech Week was born with a clear ambition: to show what happens when artificial intelligence moves beyond debate to become work, skill, infrastructure, and product. For developers, students, businesses, and decision-makers, it is an opportunity to engage with global industry leaders and understand how AI is reshaping roles, skills, and job opportunities within the Roman and national economic landscape.
The inaugural edition of Rome AI & Tech Week gathered over 3,000 participants, 100+ national and international speakers, and 50 partner companies in Rome. Five days and four different formats guided artificial intelligence from hackathon prototyping to summit governance, including the major conference at the Palazzo dei Congressi and the operational workshops of the Builders Lab.
48 hours of hackathons to turn ideas into functional prototypes: AI systems capable of reading contracts and extracting data for decision dashboards, personal safety tools, fact-checking engines against misinformation, gamified urban experiences, and sustainability solutions.
A day dedicated to AI leadership and governance, aimed at CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of IT, and managers leading technological transformation.
Over 50 talks with Italian and international speakers on real-world AI adoption, security, governance, software architecture, production deployment, and the impact of AI on roles and skills.
Operational workshops for developers, data scientists, and product teams with immediately applicable skills: less theory, more design, experimentation, and AI solution development.
The Palazzo dei Congressi is located in the EUR district and is served by Metro B (EUR Fermi or EUR Palasport stations). The Gazometro Ostiense area is accessible via Metro B (Garbatella or Piramide) and the Roma-Lido railway. By car, the EUR district is connected to the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA).
Each stage requires a specific ticket. For Conference Roma, early-bird rates are available; after March 27, single tickets are approximately โฌ249 + VAT, with discounts for groups and early purchases. Registration and the updated program are available on the official website.
From March 28 to April 1, 2026.
