The capital's first cactus and succulent plant market exhibition at Fusolab 3.0
Roma in Cactus is Rome's first market exhibition entirely dedicated to cacti and succulent plants. The event took place on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Fusolab 3.0, located at Viale della Bella Villa 94, in the Alessandrino-Torre Maura district of Rome. A niche yet highly fascinating event that brought together enthusiasts, collectors, and curious visitors for a weekend centered on the captivating world of succulents.
The heart of the exhibition is the market: about thirty exhibitors, chosen from the best specialized nurseries in the sector, brought the two days to life with stalls filled with cacti of every shape and succulents with the most unique shades. Alongside Italian producers, there were also participants from Germany and the Netherlands, proving how the passion for thorny greenery has become a true European phenomenon. In addition to the plants, visitors could find specific pots and substrates, essential for proper cultivation.
The choice of venue is no coincidence: Fusolab 3.0 is a multifunctional cultural space in the eastern suburbs of Rome, known for its participatory vocation and its ability to host events that engage the local community. Situated along Metro Line C at the Alessandrino stop, it is easily accessible from all over the city and offers a large, free multi-story parking lot. Inside the facility, the FUK - Fusolab Urban Kitchen provided bar and dining services, turning the visit into a pleasant leisure opportunity for families as well.
More than just a sale, Roma in Cactus served as a meeting point to rediscover the pleasure of surrounding oneself with resilient and fascinating plants. The nurserymen present offered practical consultations on cultivation, light exposure, flowering, and soil selection, guiding both beginners and experienced collectors in the care of their succulents. It was a direct dialogue with those who grow these plants every day, helping visitors learn to identify species and care for them correctly.
With a symbolic entry fee, free admission for children, and the possibility of bringing dogs on a leash, the event aimed to be open and inclusive. This first edition of Roma in Cactus enriched the Lazio green events calendar, bringing an original proposal to the capital that is increasingly appreciated by gardening and botany lovers.
The market exhibition opened its doors on Saturday, March 7, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday, March 8, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. In the spaces of Fusolab 3.0, at Viale della Bella Villa 94, about thirty specialized nurserymen displayed cacti and succulents of every shape, along with pots and substrates for cultivation. Admission was €5, free for children under 12 and people with certified disabilities.
