The evening parade of allegorical floats on the Brenta Riviera
The Riviera Carnival is the carnival celebration of the Municipality of Mira, in the province of Venice, along the famous Brenta Riviera, the waterway dotted with Venetian villas that connects Padua to Venice. Unlike many daytime carnivals, here the parade takes place in the evening, giving the allegorical floats a particularly scenic atmosphere.
The procession is made up of allegorical floats and masked groups from various locations in the region, which liven up the route with music, choreography, and shows. Street food stands are also available along the route. The event, with free entry, is organised by the Municipality of Mira together with Pro Loco Mira.
The parade crosses the heart of Mira along Riviera Silvio Trentin, Via Fornace, Riviera Matteotti, and Via Nazionale. Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place along the affected streets during the procession.
The Riviera Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 11:30 PM, along Riviera Silvio Trentin and the streets of Mira's centre (VE). In case of bad weather, the event is postponed to May 9, 2026. Evening procession of allegorical floats and masked groups with free entry.
