The Season Opener

The Risotto and Pizzoccheri Festival opens the festival season at the Maggiolone Social Park in Cassano Magnago, a municipality in the Province of Varese. At the end of April, the Festa Area on Via Primo Maggio hosts the great classics of Northern Italian cuisine, with two absolute stars: risotto and pizzoccheri.

Traditional Risottos and Pizzoccheri

The menu, curated by Chef Pippo in compliance with traditional recipes, focuses on Valtellina pizzoccheri and a wide selection of risottos: from saffron to more creative versions like gorgonzola, pear and walnut, to the classic with sausage. To complete the offering, cured meats, braised beef with polenta, Milanese cutlet (also in a vegetarian version), and desserts like wild berry panna cotta and hazelnut sbrisolona.

Music and Fun

The evenings are accompanied by entertainment: on Friday, karaoke with Ariele; on Saturday, 90s and 2000s DJ sets; on Sunday, live music by Luciano and Paola with ballroom dancing. Children's attractions and the park's spaces complete the experience, making the festival suitable for the whole family.

An Indoor Festival

Organized by Sagre Prelibate, the event takes place in the Maggiolone Social Park's Festa Area, under the covered structure that characterizes all events of the season. Table service is available, with limited seating and reservations recommended. A free-entry event that kicks off Cassano Magnago's calendar of themed festivals.
