A performing arts eco-festival in the heart of Municipio VII

Rinascenze – Performing Arts Eco-Festival is a cultural event promoted by the EticArte A.P.S. association in Rome's Municipio VII, the area encompassing the Tuscolano, Cinecittà, Don Bosco, and Appio Latino districts. The festival was born from the intersection of performing arts—theatre, dance, urban performance, and live shows—with themes of ecology, sustainability, and the regeneration of public spaces in the Roman suburbs.

Live art and sustainability

The project takes art out of conventional venues and returns it to the city: squares, gardens, green spaces, and community areas become stages for shows, workshops, and participatory moments. The concept of «rinascenza» (rebirth) evokes the ability of territories to regenerate through culture, transforming artistic encounters into opportunities for social cohesion and reflection on the relationship between humanity and the environment.

A project supported by Roma Capitale

Rinascenze was selected as part of the «Roma Tutto l'Anno» (Roma Creativa 365) program, the public call through which Roma Capitale, via Zètema Progetto Cultura, supports widespread cultural programming across the capital's municipalities throughout the year. Its location in Municipio VII confirms the festival's commitment to rooting itself in the local fabric, providing space for emerging artists and local associations.

Rome and the Lazio region

The event takes place in Rome, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, within the Lazio region. Municipio VII is one of the city's most populous areas and houses iconic landmarks such as the Cinecittà district, the historic heart of Italian cinema: a context that makes a festival dedicated to performing arts and their capacity to regenerate urban spaces even more meaningful.
