The ridges of Vittorio Veneto in a race
The Ridges Trail Experience is a trail running event organized by Scuola di Maratona Vittorio Veneto ASD, which attracts hundreds of participants, both runners and walkers, every winter. The name refers to the hilly ridges that encircle the city, in the province of Treviso: Colle San Paolo, Monte Altare, Colle della Bigontina, Monte Piai, and Monte Baldo.
Two routes for everyone
The race offers two courses with start and finish at Area Fenderl. The long route, 5 Creste (5 Ridges), covers approximately 21 km with a 1,300-meter elevation gain and connects all the main peaks. The short route, 2 Creste (2 Ridges), covers 10 km with a 600-meter elevation gain and is mainly designed for walkers. The event is non-competitive, but the long route also attracts high-level athletes.
Nature, history, and community
More than just a race, the Ridges Trail is an experience that combines sport, landscape, and historical memory: the Vittorio Veneto ridges were a theatre of events during the Great War and today offer panoramic views of the Veneto plain and the Prealps. The success of the event, with its sold-out registrations, confirms the community's strong connection with its territory.
Ridges Trail — edition 2026
On Sunday, February 8, 2026, the 6th edition of the Ridges Trail Experience was held, based at Area Fenderl in Vittorio Veneto. The event saw the long route (300 places) sell out and had a total of approximately 700 starters across the two distances.
The routes
- 5 Creste (5 Ridges) — 21 km, 1,300 m elevation gain, across Colle San Paolo, Monte Altare, Colle della Bigontina, Monte Piai, and Monte Baldo.
- 2 Creste (2 Ridges) — 10 km, 600 m elevation gain, dedicated mainly to walkers.
The long race was won by Gabriele Del Longo, who completed the 21 km in just over two hours (2h02'38").

- Gathering and bib collection at Area Fenderl.
- Start of the 5 Creste route (21 km, 1,300 m D+).

- Refreshment points along the route and final refreshment at the finish line.
- Award ceremony for the top finishers. 5 Creste winner: Gabriele Del Longo (2h02'38").

How to get there
Vittorio Veneto is served by the A27 motorway (Vittorio Veneto Nord and Sud exits) and the Venice–Calalzo railway line. Start and finish at Area Fenderl.
