Running through the woods of the Treviso Prealps
Every November, the town of Cison di Valmarino, in the province of Treviso, hosts the Trail del Gevero, one of the most popular trail running races of the Veneto autumn. The start and finish are set at Case Marian, from where the routes climb along the trails of the Treviso Prealps, through woods, ridges, and views of the UNESCO World Heritage Prosecco hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene.
Three routes for every level
The event offers three distances, catering to both those new to trail running and more experienced ultra runners:
- 12 km with 600 meters of positive elevation gain
- 21 km with 1,500 meters of positive elevation gain
- 41 km with 2,880 meters of positive elevation gain
The courses traverse the hilly and mountainous territory around Cison di Valmarino, offering athletes total immersion in the prealpine landscape.
A weekend of mountain running
The Trail del Gevero doesn't run alone: it is paired with the Vertikal del Gevero, a nighttime vertical race held the preceding Saturday. Those who wish can sign up for the combined Trail + Vertikal package, experiencing an entire weekend dedicated to mountain running in the Treviso Prealps.
An event rooted in the territory
Organized by ASD Trail del Gevero, the event is now a regular fixture on the Veneto running calendar and helps to promote the trails and villages of the Cison di Valmarino area, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, even in the autumn season.
Trail del Gevero — edition 2026
The 11th edition of the Trail del Gevero is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026, based at Case Marian, in Cison di Valmarino. The three courses that have made the race famous are confirmed: 12 km (600 m D+), 21 km (1,500 m D+), and 41 km (2,880 m D+) along the trails of the Treviso Prealps.
Registration opens on August 1, 2026; only during August is a discount available on the combined package with the Vertikal del Gevero, scheduled for the preceding Saturday.

How to get there
The start is at Case Marian, along Via Nazionale 34 in Cison di Valmarino (TV). By car from the A27 motorway (Vittorio Veneto Nord or Sud exit), then SP4 and SP635. The nearest train station is Vittorio Veneto.
Registration
Registration for the 11th edition in 2026 opens on August 1, 2026. A discount on the combined Trail + Vertikal package is available only during August. Registration and regulations are on the official website traildelgevero.it.
