A festival bubbling in the heart of the Cimini Mountains
Ribolle Fest is the signature summer festival of Soriano nel Cimino, a village in the Viterbo area renowned for the Orsini Castle and the UNESCO-listed beech forests of Monte Cimino. Every year, in the second half of July, Parco Le Paperelle transforms into an open-air stage for ten nights of live music, theater, dance, street art, comics, and cultural gatherings. Established in 2019 as a fresh musical event for the Cimini Mountains, it has grown with each edition to become a cornerstone of the summer season in the province of Viterbo and the wider Lazio region.
The formula: music, art, and community
The strength of Ribolle Fest lies in its open and inclusive approach: all events are free to attend, and the program blends concerts by well-known names in the Italian independent scene with performances by local bands, DJ sets, dance, and theater. Food and wine stands open every evening, turning the park into a contemporary village fair where families, young people, and music lovers gather side by side.
The guests who made festival history
Over the years, the Paperelle stage has hosted nationally acclaimed artists: from Meganoidi and Vintage Violence to Giancane and Villa Ada Posse, as well as hip-hop icon Tormento, Alberto Rocchetti (long-time keyboardist for Vasco Rossi), and Bestierare, the band led by actor Elio Germano. The 2026 edition continues this tradition with the indie-pop duo Legno, the Italian ska-core pioneers Shandon, and the Wardogs, the official Italian Ramones tribute band.
Comics, live painting, and creativity
Beyond music, the festival dedicates significant space to visual arts: live painting by established street artists adds color to the park, while the Lucky Comix Artist Alley brings comic book artists and illustrators to Soriano, featuring exhibitions, live drawing sessions, and interactive activities like card tournaments and creative workshops designed for children.

From July 15 to 26, 2026, Parco Le Paperelle in Soriano nel Cimino hosts the seventh edition of Ribolle Fest, featuring ten nights of free admission filled with live music, culture, art, entertainment, and social activism. The lineup alternates major concerts — the Tuscan indie-pop duo Legno, the Shandon (a historic Italian ska-core and punk rock band), and the Wardogs (the official Italian Ramones tribute band) — with theater, dance, book presentations, street performers, live painting, DJ sets, and performances by local bands. The evening of July 22 is dedicated to the Close The Gap campaign, featuring discussions and testimonials on gender equality and challenging stereotypes. The evenings are hosted by Maria Paola and Giovanni from the duo Accordi Ribelli.

Getting there
Soriano nel Cimino is located in the province of Viterbo, in northern Lazio. By car: from Rome, take the A1 motorway to the Attigliano exit or the Orte–Viterbo expressway to the Soriano nel Cimino exit (approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes). From Viterbo, take the Ortana provincial road (approx. 20 minutes). Parco Le Paperelle is within walking distance of the town center.
Admission and hours
All festival nights are free of charge. Food and wine stands and activities generally open from 7:00 PM; children's workshops are held in the afternoon.
