The popular "high-altitude" festival on April 25th at the Casilino Sky Park terrace
Resistenze Urbane – From the Street to the Sky is the event with which Fusolab 2.0 celebrates the anniversary of the Liberation in Rome every April 25th, kicking off the season at Casilino Sky Park, the rooftop park overlooking the roofs of the Alessandrino district. The concept is simple yet powerful: bringing a popular festival to the heights, on the fourth-floor rooftop of Viale della Bella Villa, where historical memory and community life meet through music, food, and participation.
The third edition, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, is dedicated to the theme "Couriers – Sisters of Freedom": a female-focused edition that highlights the women of the Resistance as a network of courage and organization, connecting them with the daily resistance of today's neighborhoods—care, solidarity, rights, and common spaces. The figures of the partisan couriers become the guiding thread of a day that combines reflection and joy, anti-fascist memory, and a street party.
The event runs from early afternoon until evening with a rhythm designed to welcome families, young people, and residents of Municipio V:
A historic fixture of cultural associationism in the eastern suburbs of Rome, Fusolab 2.0 manages the Casilino Sky Park, an open-air space born from the regeneration of a terrace in the Alessandrino district, in the Capital's Municipio V. A live arena, children's area, street food, and lounge zone coexist in a place that becomes one of the main meeting points of the Prenestino-Centocelle area during the summer. With Resistenze Urbane, this space inaugurates its season every year by transforming the Liberation anniversary into a moment of collective celebration, rooted in the territory of Lazio and its history.
Resistenze Urbane is not just a simple commemoration: it is a popular festival that reinterprets April 25th through the lens of the present. Those who climb to the Casilino Sky Park terrace will find a view over the roofs of Rome, shared tables, workshops for the little ones, and concerts that continue until nightfall. A different and authentic way to experience Liberation Day, far from tourist circuits and immersed in the life of a neighborhood.
The 2026 edition of Resistenze Urbane dedicates the day of April 25th to partisan couriers and "sisters of freedom": the women of the Resistance as a network of courage and organization, in dialogue with the daily resistance of the neighborhoods. On the terrace of the Casilino Sky Park, a social lunch, moments of memory, activities for the little ones, and a long musical program will alternate.
