The Sant'Apollonia Regional Fair is the oldest and most prestigious event in Rivolta d'Adda, in the province of Cremona. With over 260 years of documented history — its origins are attested by a document from 1761 preserved in the municipal archive — it is considered the oldest livestock fair in Lombardy and one of the longest-running in Italy.
The livestock heart
The fair revolves around the large show of Friesian cattle, a showcase and competition that culminates in the election of the best animal. Alongside the livestock exhibition, there are agricultural conferences, exhibitions of agricultural machinery, and in-depth sessions dedicated to the rural world, testifying to the territory's strong connection with agriculture and breeding.
