The Feast of Geromina

The Geromina hamlet of Treviglio (province of Bergamo) celebrates its patronal feast dedicated to the Holy Name of Mary every year, between late August and early September. Organized by the parish of the Holy Name of Mary of Geromina and Castel Cerreto, the feast unfolds over a long series of evenings, typically eleven, around the oratory.

Food, Music, and Community

The heart of the feast is the food stand, which opens every evening with traditional cuisine and a pizzeria, accompanied by live music and DJs from the evening onwards. The program includes local bands, evenings dedicated to young people with happy hour, comedy shows, and entertainment for all ages. The feast combines the religious dimension — with the parish Mass and the final procession — with the convivial aspect, typical of the village festivals of the Gera d'Adda region.

For the community of Geromina, the patronal feast is the major late-summer event: an occasion to come together, for the younger generation who liven up the oratory, and for families. For years, the event has been renewed punctually, confirming itself as one of the most attended hamlet festivals in the Treviglio area.
