The Ferrari gathering on the Riviera that remembers Marco Simoncelli in Coriano
Red Passion is the gathering dedicated to the Prancing Horse cars that crosses the Romagna Riviera and chooses Coriano, in the province of Rimini, as the most exciting stop on its route. Here, in the town where Marco Simoncelli was born, the roar of the engines turns into a gesture of affection towards one of the most beloved riders in Italian motorcycling. Over fifty Ferraris, arriving from all over the world and from different eras, travel the coastal roads before stopping in the heart of the Coriano municipality, offering a spectacle that is technical, aesthetic, and emotional all at once.
The procession starts from Bellaria-Igea Marina and heads up the Riviera towards the Rimini hinterland. After parading along the coast, the red cars reach the 'La Storia del Sic' Museum, the symbolic place dedicated to Marco Simoncelli's life and career, for a moment of reflection and tribute. The cars then line up in Piazza Don Minzoni, where they remain on display throughout the afternoon: residents, enthusiasts, and visitors can get close to historic and contemporary models, admire their lines, and chat with the owners.
Red Passion is not just a gathering for connoisseurs; it's a day of popular celebration that involves the entire community of the Rimini area in Emilia-Romagna. The presence of Ferraris in the historic center creates an atmosphere of curiosity and wonder, with a diverse audience made up of children, photographers, families, and coastal tourists. The event connects with the sporting identity of the region, where the figure of 'Sic' continues to be a very strong emotional reference point: every Sunday, in front of the museum, the monument Every Sunday lights up for fifty-eight seconds, Simoncelli's race number.
Part of the rich calendar of events on the Romagna Riviera at the start of summer, Red Passion is the ideal occasion for those who want to combine the beauty of the coast, the Rimini hinterland, and the love for Italian engines.
The 2026 edition confirmed the gathering's format: departure from Bellaria-Igea Marina, parade along the Riviera, and arrival in Coriano with a visit to the 'La Storia del Sic' Museum, dedicated to Marco Simoncelli.
