The historical re-enactment of vintage two-wheelers between Piazza del Popolo and the Fermo Hills
The Re-enactment of the Motorcycle Circuit of the City of Fermo pays homage to an important chapter in the sporting history of the Municipality of Fermo and the entire Marche Region. The initiative revives the old city circuit that, along the city's ring road, enlivened Fermo starting from the Fifties. The first race took place on August 14, 1954, organized by the Ferruccio Petracci motorcycle club, and was won by Ernesto Brambilla on an MV. Among the most famous protagonists of the Fermo track was the great champion Giacomo Agostini, who achieved a victory here riding a Morini 175.
The event, promoted by the club La Manovella del Fermano with the patronage of the Municipality of Fermo, takes place over two days. Saturday is dedicated to welcoming participants in Piazza del Popolo, with the exhibition of the vehicles, followed by a motorcycle rally through the picturesque Fermo Hills, an aperitif at a farm, and a convivial dinner in the square.
The highlight is the regularity race on Sunday, included in the national calendar of the Italian Historic Motorcycle Club (ASI) and reserved exclusively for vintage motorcycles manufactured before 1970 and in compliance with historic relevance certification. Models that have made the history of two-wheelers parade on the track, restored and carefully preserved by collectors, offering the public an authentic journey through time.
More than just a competition, the re-enactment is a popular festival that brings together enthusiasts from different regions of Italy. The charm of historic motorcycles, the atmosphere of Fermo's historic centre, and the convivial moments with aperitifs, dinners, and lunches with company make this June event an unmissable occasion for lovers of classic motorcycling and for families wanting to discover the motorcycling tradition of the province of Fermo.
The fifth edition returns to Fermo on the weekend of June 6 and 7, 2026, promoted by La Manovella del Fermano. Saturday, June 6: from 4:30 PM, registration and motorcycle exhibition in Piazza del Popolo; at 5:45 PM, motorcycle rally in the Fermo Hills (open to vehicles built by 2005); at 6:45 PM, aperitif at Azienda Agricola Rossi; at 8:30 PM, dinner in the square by reservation. Participation in the regularity race is reserved for vintage vehicles with ASI requirements. For registrations and information: La Manovella del Fermano, tel. +39 339 4522982 / +39 366 5996369, e-mail [email protected]. Social dinner and lunch by reservation.
