Grassroots dance on the Fraschini stage

The Rassegna Danza Libertas is one of the longest-running and most attended events of the Pavia spring. Since 1998, without interruption, it has brought the end-of-year recitals of the city's amateur dance schools to the prestigious stage of the Teatro Fraschini in Pavia, transforming the historic theatre into a grand showcase for grassroots dance.

A thousand dancers, from 3 to 70 years old

The review brings together six Pavia associations – Idea Danza, Città di Pavia, AcademyPavia, Professione Danza, Off Dance, and MC360 – for a total of a dozen shows and over a thousand dancers involved, from three-year-old children to seventy-year-old adults. Each evening has its own title and theme – from "Incanto" to "Olimpiadi, la fiamma che unisce il mondo" (Olympics, the flame that unites the world), to "Timeline – Dancing on the line of time" – and showcases the work of a year of classes and rehearsals.

A celebration for the city

Promoted by schools affiliated with the Centro Nazionale Sportivo Libertas, the review is much more than a series of recitals: it is a moment of community that involves students, teachers, families, and the public from the province of Pavia. For weeks, the Teatro Fraschini becomes the meeting point for those who, at any age, experience dance as a passion and personal growth.
