The Nebrodi slalom in the Municipality of Raccuja

The Raccuja City Slalom is a car slalom competition held in the small town of Raccuja, in the province of Messina, nestled in the heart of the Nebrodi mountain range. Established in 2025 by ASD Ucria Racing, the race has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the Sicilian motorsport calendar, successfully blending sporting challenge with the scenic appeal of an authentic territory.

The route on the SP 136

The track winds along a section of the Provincial Road 136, on the climb leading from Sinagra towards the town of Raccuja. It is a technical and selective course: three initial hairpins immediately test the drivers, followed by a faster, smoother central section, before the final hairpin near the finish line. The track is lined with the traditional traffic cone barriers that define the slalom discipline, where driving precision counts just as much as raw speed.

A race with strong competitive value

The Raccuja City Slalom is valid for major regional and zone competitions: the Sicilian Slalom Championship, the Nebrodi Trophy, and the 5th Zone Italian Cup. This multi-level validity makes it a coveted stage, attracting a large group of drivers from Sicilian racing teams, with cars divided into the various classes and groups provided by ACI Sport regulations.

ASD Ucria Racing and the territory

The event is part of a broader motorsport project led by ASD Ucria Racing, which also organizes the Santa Domenica Vittoria Slalom and the historic Ucria City Slalom in the same area. The association works closely with the Raccuja Municipal Administration, which has supported the initiative since its debut, recognizing its promotional value for a small Nebrodi village and the entire province of Messina.

More than just a race, the Raccuja City Slalom is a true village festival: enthusiasts, families, and curious onlookers gather along the route and in the start and finish areas, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm that brings the town's streets to life for an entire day. The natural setting of the Nebrodi, with its forests and views over the Tyrrhenian coast of Sicily, adds charm to an event that combines motorsport with the promotion of the local area.
