A Market Sunday in the Heart of Gossolengo

The Quality Merchants are one of the most anticipated events for families in Gossolengo, a small municipality in the province of Piacenza, in Emilia-Romagna. On several Sundays throughout the year, the town center transforms into a large open-air market: Piazza Roma and the surrounding streets fill with colorful stalls, people strolling, and the lively atmosphere typical of provincial festive days.

Over Forty Selected Exhibitors

The event brings together more than forty exhibitors, all carefully chosen by the organizing association. The stalls offer a wide range of products:

• Ready-to-wear fashion: clothing, footwear, and accessories for all ages;
• Home goods and decorative items;
• Selected crafts and creative works, with unique, handmade pieces;
• Food stalls and local products to taste and take home;
• flowers and plants on spring dates.

Space for Children

A significant part of the event is dedicated to the youngest visitors: in a safe area, old-fashioned games return, along with inflatables, entertainment, and activities. It is this balance between shopping for adults and fun for children that makes Quality Merchants a truly family-friendly event.

A Network of Markets in the Piacenza Area

Quality Merchants is not an isolated event: the Associazione Mercanti di Qualità (Quality Merchants Association), chaired by Gloriana Tironi, organizes about forty events a year in numerous towns in the Piacenza area, from Ponte dell'Olio to Agazzano, Caorso, Rivergaro, and Travo. Gossolengo is one of the recurring stops, with dates concentrated mainly in spring and autumn, attracting visitors from neighboring municipalities as well.
