Edition 2025 — Zazzicchia Festival
On December 14, 2025, Prossedi renewed its appointment with the Prossedi Zazzicchia Festival, the celebration that the Centro Studi Prossedani dedicates to the local sausage seasoned with grated orange zest and pitartara, the coriander grown in the village fields.
The village in the Lepini Mountains, in the province of Latina, welcomed visitors with artisan and Christmas markets set up in Piazza Umberto I, with stalls featuring local products and the large bonfire lit at the foot of the Palazzo Baronale, where the zazzicchie were cooked in front of the public. The food stalls featured the classic sandwich with sausage and broccoli rabe, polenta with sausage sauce, roasted chestnuts, and red wine.
The day, as in previous editions, combined gastronomy, folk music, and Christmas atmosphere, confirming the festival as one of the most popular winter events in the Amaseno Valley.
