A spring of green in Villa Potenza

Progetto Verde – Fiera del Verde is the event that every year, at the beginning of spring, transforms the Centro Fiere di Villa Potenza, a hamlet of the Municipality of Macerata (Province of Macerata, in the Marche region), into the regional showcase of the green world. Now in its 16th edition in 2026, the fair has grown to become a point of reference for the sector throughout Central Italy, recording a constant increase in visitors that has exceeded 20,000 attendees.

What you will find at the fair

Progetto Verde is both a professional and amateur fair: it caters to both industry operators and gardening and outdoor life enthusiasts. In the fairgrounds and outdoor areas, you will find a complete panorama:

• Floriculture: ornamental plants, flowers, seeds, nurseries, and market innovations;
• Gardening and green decor: equipment, technologies, and solutions for the garden and vegetable patch;
• Olive growing: the fair is accompanied by the Olive Growing Exhibition, which brings together protagonists from the entire supply chain, from nurseries to machinery and technologies for oil production and packaging;
• Agriculture and typical products: local agricultural businesses, wines, extra virgin oils, condiments, jams, and pasta.

Conferences, seminars, and education

In addition to the exhibition part, Progetto Verde dedicates ample space to training and dissemination. The program includes conferences and 20-30 minute technical seminars held by lecturers and experts, on topics ranging from olive pest management to vine pruning, to the properties of aromatic plants. The part aimed at schools is also well-curated, with the «Scopri il Pentathlon» workshops, designed for primary and secondary school students with skill and knowledge tests on the environment and agriculture, and with the «Coltiviamo l'inclusione» workshops, which involve families and citizens in shared activities.

A local event

Organized by the Pro Loco of Villa Potenza, the fair is also a community celebration: agricultural institutes of the area, such as the IIS Garibaldi Bramante Pannaggi, are often protagonists, bringing products cultivated by students and projects dedicated to biodiversity to the fair.
