A Community Festival in the Heart of Civitanova Alta

Primo Maggio al Tirassegno is the event with which Civitanova Alta, the historic village perched on the hills behind the coast, celebrates Labour Day. The event takes place in the large green area of the former Tirassegno, along the street of the same name, a short walk from the walls and the historic center of the Municipality of Civitanova Marche, in the province of Macerata, in the Marche region.

The day is organized by the Società Operaia G. Garibaldi Civitanova Alta APS, a historic association of the village, with the patronage of the City of Civitanova Marche. Also known as "1° Maggio a Musica Alta", the festival is designed as a day to be spent entirely on the lawn, from morning to evening, suitable for all ages.

Wellness, Sport, and Activities in the Morning

The day begins early with a gathering for the metabolic walk organized by Walk Active, followed by the special "Strafit" workout, a fitness circuit of about 24 minutes. The morning is mainly dedicated to families: traditional outdoor games, animated readings for children with "Favole in Libertà", advice on dog training and education with the Qua La Zampa Canine Center, as well as demonstrations by Croce Verde and an information booth by Emergency.

Live Music in the Afternoon

The afternoon is the highlight, entirely dedicated to live music. Bands will perform on stage, drawing from the great repertoire of Italian songs, with tribute concerts to beloved singer-songwriters and local bands animating the lawn until the evening. The music, the stalls, and the relaxed atmosphere make the Tirassegno the ideal place for a picnic with friends.

What to Eat

Food stalls will be available throughout the day, offering the flavors of the Marche tradition: porchetta, sandwiches, fritters, wine, and beer. Those who wish to enjoy the lawn without worries can book a special picnic basket. Admission to the festival is free.
