Rovescala, in the province of Pavia, is one of the symbolic names of Oltrepò Pavese, a land of hills and great red wines. Here, Bonarda is not just a wine, but a collective identity: and it is precisely around this bond that Primavera dei Vini revolves, the event that every Sunday in March transforms the town into a journey of tastings and flavours. Now in its fortieth edition, it is one of the most rooted wine events in the territory.

A hundred labels and a tradition on the table

The heart of the event is the tastings: over a hundred labels of Bonarda and local wines can be sampled while strolling through the village, accompanied by typical dishes of the local tradition. From 10 am to 6 pm, the town becomes a large space for food and wine discovery, where Rovescala's wineries tell visitors directly about their work and their wines.

Not just wine

Primavera dei Vini is also a celebration for the whole family. Alongside tastings, there are thematic exhibitions, cultural initiatives, games, and workshops for children, in a programme that changes from one Sunday to the next. The event is part of the "Le Colline del Vino e dei Sapori" (The Hills of Wine and Flavours) project, supported by the Lombardy Region, confirming its value for regional promotion.

Forty years of Oltrepò

Celebrating the fortieth edition means recounting forty years of history of a village that has made wine its flag. The Festa del Bonarda is the best occasion to discover Rovescala, its wineries, and the hilly soul of Oltrepò Pavese, at a time of year when the vineyards awaken and announce the new season.
