A festival that tells the story of Oltrepò

Agosto Montuese is the major summer event in Montù Beccaria, a wine village perched on the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, in the province of Pavia. For eight consecutive evenings, the village comes alive with music, aromas, and wine glasses: the heart of the event is the historic Wine Exhibition, a showcase of the oenological excellence of one of Lombardy's most important wine-growing areas.

Wine, food, and concerts under the stars

The formula is tried and tested and generous: every evening the village opens its gastronomic stands with original menus served at tables, accompanied by Oltrepò wines. On stage, concerts under the stars alternate, each with its own musical identity, from ballroom dancing music to cover bands, and more contemporary proposals. It is a grassroots festival, animated by a group of local young people and the Pro Loco (local tourism board), which renews its commitment each year to keep alive a tradition loved throughout the Oltrepò.

An important milestone

The event is closely linked to the Wine Exhibition, which in 2026 will celebrate a symbolic milestone: the 60th edition. A landmark that testifies how deeply rooted this festival is in the life of Montù Beccaria and in the wine culture of Oltrepò Pavese. Admission by free donation and the informal welcome make it an event accessible to all, perfect for discovering the flavors and hospitality of the Pavia region.
