About Premio Bugatti Segantini

For over sixty years, Nova Milanese has been the capital of contemporary art for a summer thanks to the Premio Internazionale Bice Bugatti – Giovanni Segantini. The exhibition confers an award on a prominent artist and hosts a solo exhibition of their work in the city's historic villas, in Brianza. Side exhibitions, meetings, and a collection that gathers works from over twenty countries make this prize one of the longest-running and most prestigious art events in the Province of Monza and Brianza.

A historic art prize

The Premio Internazionale Bice Bugatti – Giovanni Segantini is one of the longest-running artistic events in Italy, hosted in Nova Milanese, in the Province of Monza and Brianza. Every year, the prize is awarded to an artist of recognized merit, who is celebrated with a solo exhibition in the city's historic villas, particularly Villa Vertua Masolo and Villa Brivio.

The villas and the collection

The heart of the event lies in the historic residences of Nova Milanese, which transform into exhibition spaces for several weeks. Alongside the solo exhibition of the awarded artist, the prize typically features a collateral exhibition drawing from the rich collection of the Premio Bugatti Segantini — a heritage of hundreds of works from over twenty countries, accumulated over decades of editions.

An event for Brianza

Organized by the Libera Accademia di Pittura «Vittorio Viviani» together with the Fondazione Rossi and with the support of the Municipality of Nova Milanese, the prize is more than just an exhibition: it is a cultural event that combines exhibitions, conferences, and convivial moments such as the «Cena con l'Arte» (Dinner with Art). For enthusiasts and those wishing to discover the lesser-known Brianza, it is a precious opportunity to experience contemporary art in a refined setting.

Premio Bugatti Segantini — edition 2026

The 67th edition of the Premio Bice Bugatti – Giovanni Segantini honours the Florentine artist Riccardo Guarneri with the exhibition «transiti di luce» at Villa Vertua, from June 6 to July 5, 2026.
