The Rome stage of the national competition for female singer-songwriters, held at Officina Pasolini
The Premio Bianca d'Aponte arrives in Rome for an evening entirely dedicated to female songwriting. The event takes place at the Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini, within the Teatro Eduardo De Filippo, located at Viale Antonino di San Giuliano 782, in the Farnesina area near Ponte Milvio. This is the Roman leg of one of Italy's longest-running competitions for emerging female singer-songwriters, bringing the voices awarded across the peninsula to the heart of Rome and the Lazio region.
The Premio Bianca d'Aponte was founded in Aversa, Campania, in memory of Bianca d'Aponte, a young singer-songwriter who passed away prematurely. For over twenty years, it has been the only national competition exclusively for female singer-songwriters, with no restrictions on musical genre: pop, rock, urban, jazz, and world music all share the same stage. The finale takes place every autumn at the Teatro Cimarosa in Aversa, but the Award remains active year-round through a network of events across Italy and Europe, showcasing winners and finalists from previous editions. The Roman evening is one of these, coinciding each year with the opening of the call for entries for the new edition.
In the 2026 edition, the concert was held on Monday, March 16 at 9:00 PM. The stage featured Micaela Tempesta, winner of the 2025 edition, and Valentina Lupi, winner of the 2024 edition, alongside Beo, a finalist in the competition. The evening's guest was Bungaro, accompanied on double bass by Ferruccio Spinetti, while the event was hosted by journalist Enrico Deregibus. Admission was free with online reservation. The evening also marked the opening of the call for entries for the 22nd edition of the Award, with free registration open to all musical genres.
The Roman stage is hosted by the Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini, the advanced artistic training laboratory and cultural hub of the Lazio Region, directed by singer Tosca. A space dedicated to young talents in music, theater, and multimedia, it provides a natural setting for a competition focused on discovering new female artists. The Teatro Eduardo De Filippo, the facility's main hall, offers an intimate and attentive listening experience, ideal for the nuance of female songwriting.
