The Municipality XI festival celebrating the excellence of the Arvalia Portuense area
The Premio Arvalia is the annual event where Rome's Municipality XI—the Arvalia Portuense territory, encompassing neighborhoods like Marconi, Portuense, and Trullo—celebrates the people and organizations that make their community more vibrant, inclusive, and supportive. It is not a music festival or a food fair, but a true civic community celebration: an evening where the Municipality presents awards to citizens, associations, committees, and businesses that have made a significant contribution to the area.
The Premio Arvalia awards are given to those who have left a positive mark on neighborhood life, particularly in the following areas:
Nominations can be submitted by at least twenty residents of Municipality XI or by entities, associations, committees, and companies, in accordance with the regulations published annually by Rome Capital.
The Premio Arvalia takes place in a picturesque setting, Parco Tevere Marconi, overlooking the river in the heart of the Marconi district. The evening is designed for the whole family: afternoon shows and entertainment for children, followed by the official ceremony on stage in the evening, accompanied by live music, entertainment, and the participation of guests from the worlds of entertainment, journalism, and culture. Admission is free, and the event attracts hundreds of residents every year, becoming a great meeting point for the local area.
The name Arvalia recalls the ancient tradition of the Arval Brethren, the Roman priests linked to this part of the city along the Tiber, and today it gives its name to Municipality XI, one of the most dynamic and engaged areas of the Capital. With the Premio Arvalia, the Municipality reaffirms its vision of a more inclusive, participatory, and supportive Rome, honoring those who contribute to the common good every day, often behind the scenes. It is an event that speaks to the neighborhood but tells the story of an entire city.
The eighth edition of the Premio Arvalia brought Parco Tevere Marconi to life on Saturday, June 6, 2026, confirming its status as one of the most cherished events in Rome's Municipality XI. The day began in the afternoon with entertainment for children, culminating in the evening with the official awards ceremony, accompanied by music and numerous guests.
The evening featured the participation of Alan Cappelli Goetz, Mimosa Martini, Mariella Nava, Pino Strabioli, Pippo Lo Russo, and Ilenia Petracalvina. Awards were presented to citizens and associations who distinguished themselves in social, cultural, sporting, and professional fields, as well as for their human and professional depth. Admission was free.
