The carnival that unites the hamlets

The Porto Mantovano Carnival is the carnival celebration that brings together two hamlets of the municipality, Bancole and Sant'Antonio, in the first belt of Mantua. It is one of those village festivals that liven up the winter months with the colors of masks and the joy of music, involving families and children from the Mantua area in particular.

The masked parade

The heart of the festival is the masked parade, which starts in the afternoon from Piazza della Resistenza, in Bancole, and crosses the village streets to reach the parish spaces of Sant'Antonio. Along the route, masked groups, costumes, and confetti create a cheerful and participatory procession, in an atmosphere of shared celebration.

Games, music, and snacks

Once they arrive at the parish of Sant'Antonio, the party continues with games, music, and entertainment, culminating in a final snack that closes the day together. Each edition features a different theme that inspires costumes and decorations, making the festival always new and engaging for the little ones.

A community celebration

The Porto Mantovano Carnival is organized by Pro Loco L'Agnella together with the parishes of Sant'Antonio and Bancole, with the patronage of the Municipality.
