The Festa della Contrada Porto is part of the 'Aspettando il Palio' series, the cycle of district festivals that, during the summer months, accompanies Garda towards the famous Palio delle Contrade on Ferragosto. Each historic district of the village dedicates an evening to its identity, its colors, and its flavors, in a growing anticipation for the great regatta on August 15th.
The yellow-blue sardella district
The Contrada Porto, recognizable by its yellow and blue colors and the sardella symbol, offers typical gastronomic specialties of Garda and the Lake, in an evening designed for residents and tourists. The local delicacies are accompanied by live music, which enlivens the festival with a concert from 9:30 PM.
An evening of celebration on the lake
The festival is an authentic opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Garda village, amidst tradition, good food, and folklore. Garda, in the province of Verona, experiences its most popular and convivial spirit on these evenings, while awaiting the districts to compete on the water in the bisse regatta of the Palio.

How to get there
Garda is located on the Veronese side of Lake Garda. By car, it can be reached from the A4 motorway (Peschiera del Garda exit) or the A22 Brenner motorway (Affi exit). The nearest train station is Peschiera del Garda, connected to Garda by bus.

The festival takes place in the village spaces; food and drink are paid for according to the district's price list. The evening concert is free to attend.
