About Ponte di Bellezza
A bridge between art and territory
Ponte di Bellezza is the inter-municipal initiative dedicated to enhancing the artistic and cultural heritage of the Garda and Brescia region, with Bedizzole as the lead municipality. In Lonato del Garda, in the province of Brescia, the project opens the doors of churches, towers, and monuments for a weekend, many of which are normally closed to the public, with free guided tours led by experts.
Treasures to discover
Among the sites and works featured in the tours are the Pieve di San Zeno, the Church of Madonna del Corlo with its 14th-century frescoes, the recently restored Civic Tower, ancient Roman kilns, Andrea Celesti's Plague Canvas (1693), and especially Bernardino Licinio's Renaissance triptych (1528), housed in the basilica's sacristy and usually not open to the public.
A weekend of shared culture
The tours take place throughout the day, accompanied by guides and volunteers from the local Pro Loco associations. Ponte di Bellezza is part of a rich cultural weekend with many offerings, which in Lonato often coincides with the Mercantico antique market, offering residents and visitors the chance to rediscover the history and beauty of the Garda village.
Ponte di Bellezza — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Ponte di Bellezza takes place on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, in Lonato del Garda. The inter-municipal initiative, led by Bedizzole, offers free guided tours of the village's monuments, from 10 AM to 5 PM, conducted by experts and volunteers from the Pro Loco associations.

How to get here
Lonato del Garda is accessible from the A4 Milan-Venice motorway (Desenzano-Sirmione or Brescia Est exit) and from the train station on the Milan-Venice line. The tours cover churches and monuments in the historic center.
Opening hours and admission
Free guided tours, generally from 10 AM to 5 PM. The Ugo Da Como Foundation offers admission to the complex at a reduced rate (€10) with mandatory reservation (tel. +39 030 9130060), for limited groups.
