Pizza Festival

The first edition of the Pizza Festival was held in Troia from June 2 to 4, 2025 in Piazza Episcopio, with great public success: approximately 3,000 pizzas baked in professional ovens in just two evenings, in front of thousands of residents, visitors, and tourists.

The heart of the event was the 8th Passione Pizza Italian Championship, which brought together over 50 professional pizza makers from different regions, with competition categories such as Classic, Neapolitan, Pala, Alternative, and Dessert. Among the winners were Maurizio Pelullo (winner of the Superpizza trophy) and, for the Classic category, Troia native Vincenzo Giannelli. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Troia with the Passione Pizza association on its tenth anniversary, was coordinated by councilor Raffaella Di Maro, with the mayor expressing satisfaction with the network of collaborations created around the event.

There was no shortage of show cooking sessions dedicated to children, with local primary school students and families involved in workshops on dough and pizza ingredients.
