Pigeon in a Carriage Festival

The 2025 edition of the Pigeon in a Carriage Festival confirmed the success of the event in San Fortunato della Collina (Perugia), a hilly village that dedicates ten evenings each year to its symbolic dish. The pigeon in a carriage, a specialty of Umbrian peasant cuisine, was accompanied by local classics: torta al testo, arvoltoli, Chianina meat, and traditional first courses, with gluten-free options for everyone.

The food stand opened every evening at 7:30 PM, while from 9:30 PM onwards, dancing nights with orchestras and live band concerts followed one another. A tried-and-tested formula that attracted visitors from Perugia and surrounding towns, in a festive and convivial atmosphere typical of Umbrian festivals.
