The Carnival of the Village on the Upper Lake of Iseo

In Pianico, a small municipality in the province of Bergamo overlooking the Upper Lake of Iseo, carnival is a village and family-sized festival. The meeting point is the oratory, on Via Roma, from where a day entirely dedicated to costumes and children begins.

From the Parade to the Snack

The program is simple and tried-and-tested: in the early afternoon, participants gather at the oratory, then the masked parade starts through the village streets, with confetti, costumes, and lots of fun. Upon return, the oratory welcomes everyone for snacks and games, in an informal atmosphere that is the true spirit of this community celebration.
