About Pesto Music Festival

The Pesto Music Festival is the new jazz review that from March to June brings some of the biggest names on the international scene to Genoa. Four author concerts, held between the Teatro della Gioventù and the prestigious Teatro Carlo Felice, bring together legends such as drummer Steve Gadd, Peter Erskine, John Scofield, and Italian pianists Stefano Bollani, Danilo Rea, and Dado Moroni. Under the artistic direction of Zenart Management and in collaboration with the Opera Carlo Felice, the festival is an unmissable event for jazz enthusiasts and for those who want to discover the excellence of this genre in charming venues.

Author Jazz in Genoa

The Pesto Music Festival is a jazz review that brings the best of the international scene to Genoa. In its first season, the festival offers a highly selective programme of four concerts spread over several months, held between the Teatro della Gioventù and the Teatro Carlo Felice, the two venues that provide the backdrop for top-level evenings.

Legends on Stage

The programme is a true gathering of stars. It kicks off with the Blicher–Hemmer–Gadd Trio, featuring the legendary drummer Steve Gadd, followed by the Peter Erskine Quartet (with Alan Pasqua, Darek Oles, and Bob Mintzer), and the guitar-piano dialogue between John Scofield and Gerald Clayton. The grand finale at the Carlo Felice brings together three great Italian pianists: Stefano Bollani, Danilo Rea, and Dado Moroni.

Prestigious Venues

The choice of venues is no coincidence: the Teatro della Gioventù, intimate and ideal for listening, and the Teatro Carlo Felice, the city's premier opera house, offer acoustics and atmosphere that enhance the quality of the performances. An added value for a festival that focuses entirely on excellence.

A New Reality for the City

Artistically directed by Zenart Management and produced in collaboration with the Opera Carlo Felice, the Pesto Music Festival enriches the cultural offerings of Genoa and Liguria with an international jazz programme. An event that aims to become a benchmark for lovers of the genre.
