The Ponte Persica neighbourhood festival featuring local flavours, music, and solidarity
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Persica Fest, subtitled the Festival of Flavours and Tradition, is a popular event held in the Ponte Persica neighbourhood, on the eastern outskirts of Castellammare di Stabia, in the Province of Naples and the heart of Campania, right on the border with Pompeii. Established in 2024 by the Quartiere Attivo association, the event brings together families, residents, and visitors every year for evenings dedicated to great food, music, and community spirit.
The gastronomic heart of the festival is the Festival of Ancient Flavours: stalls are set up along the neighbourhood streets, offering traditional Stabian and Campanian dishes prepared with fresh, authentic ingredients. It is the perfect opportunity to rediscover the region's genuine flavours in a simple, convivial atmosphere where food becomes a way to bring people together.
Each evening kicks off with a presentation on the history and origins of Ponte Persica, followed by concerts, folk music, and comedy shows. Previous editions have featured live bands, traditional Neapolitan artists, and well-known local comedians, alongside entertainment for all ages. There is also a dedicated space for children, with a play area set up near the Luigi Denza comprehensive school.
Persica Fest is more than just a party: since its very first edition, the event has had a strong charitable focus. Funds raised during the evenings are donated to local causes, such as hospital wards in the Stabia and Sarno areas and local parish projects. This community spirit is what sets Persica Fest apart and makes it a cherished event for the entire neighbourhood.
Taking place in September, the festival symbolically marks the end of summer in Castellammare di Stabia, transforming the streets of Ponte Persica into a large open-air gathering space. For those visiting the Stabian coast and the Pompeii area, Persica Fest offers an authentic chance to experience the most genuine and popular side of Campania.
At the moment, the organizers have not yet released the official dates and programme for the 2026 edition of Persica Fest. Given the timing of the first two editions, both held in September in the Ponte Persica neighbourhood, a new edition is likely during the same period. The detailed programme, including concerts, shows, and food stalls, will be published by the Quartiere Attivo association in the weeks leading up to the event.
