Three weekends between spring and summer dedicated to the asparagus from the Euganean Hills
The Pernumia Asparagus Festival is the main gastronomic event in this village in the province of Padua, on the edge of the Euganean Hills. The province of Padua is the leading region in Veneto for asparagus cultivation, and Pernumia is one of the most dedicated centers: the festival, which in 2026 will reach its 16th edition, was created precisely to promote this local agricultural excellence.
The gastronomic stall of the Pro Loco Pernumia offers a menu entirely focused on asparagus, both white and green: from the great classics of Venetian cuisine — asparagus with eggs, risottos, omelets — to more refined and creative dishes prepared by volunteer cooks. Accompanying the dishes are wines from the Euganean Hills region. The stalls open in the evening, while on holidays, lunch is also served at noon.
The event takes place over three weekends between April and May, a format that allows visitors to enjoy the festival at a relaxed pace and return for more culinary delights. Live music, entertainment, and family-friendly activities revolve around the food, creating a convivial atmosphere that brings together the community of Pernumia and visitors from neighboring towns.
Located between Monselice and Battaglia Terme, Pernumia is an ideal starting point for exploring the Euganean Hills, the thermal spas of Abano and Montegrotto, and the walled villages of the Bassa Padovana. The Asparagus Festival is an opportunity to combine regional discovery with the pleasure of good food, with free admission and the typical hospitality of the Venetian Pro Loco associations.
The 2026 edition, the sixteenth, of the Pernumia Asparagus Festival took place over three weekends — April 17-19, April 24-26, and May 1-3 — at Via Giuseppe Verdi 3. The Pro Loco's gastronomic stall offered a rich menu dedicated to asparagus from the Euganean Hills, from traditional Venetian dishes to more creative proposals, accompanied by local wines. The stalls opened in the evening from 7:00 PM, with lunches on holidays (Saturday, April 25 also at lunch, Sunday, May 3 only at lunch). Free admission.
The 16th Asparagus Festival was structured over three weekends, with a gastronomic stall, music, and entertainment:
Throughout the festival: menu dedicated to white and green asparagus, wines from the Euganean Hills, live music, and activities for families.
Pernumia is easily reachable by car from the Monselice exit of the A13 Bologna-Padua motorway, just a few minutes away. The nearest train station is Monselice, on the Bologna-Padua line. The festival area is located at Via Giuseppe Verdi 3.
