The masked festival of the seaside village of Pedaso, with confetti and entertainment for the little ones
The Pedaso Carnival is the traditional masked festival that every year, in the heart of winter, animates this small Municipality overlooking the Adriatic Sea, in the Province of Fermo, in the Marche region. Far from the grand carnivals with allegorical floats, Pedaso's carnival retains the genuine flavor of a village festival: an afternoon dedicated mainly to children and families, with entertainment, dancing, confetti, and lots of fun in the village streets.
The soul of the event is the entertainment dedicated to children, who can parade in their most colorful costumes, throw handfuls of confetti, and participate in games organized by the entertainers. Music, masks, and the festive atmosphere of Carnival transform the center of Pedaso into a small kingdom of fantasy for a few hours, where parents and grandparents accompany the little ones on a day of joy.
The festival takes place in the center of Pedaso, a coastal town known for its Blue Flag beach and its charming promenade dedicated to the great Italian singer-songwriters of the 20th century. Nestled between the Marche hills and the Adriatic Sea, Pedaso experiences the summer bathing season and, in winter, its community events: Carnival is one of these, a time when the town comes together and opens its doors to visitors from neighboring villages.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Pedaso in collaboration with the Municipality, the Carnival is part of the rich calendar of Carnival festivals in the Piceno and Fermano areas, which animate the coastal and inland villages in February. It is a free event accessible to everyone, designed to bring a smile to children and keep alive a tradition that belongs to the popular culture of the Marche region.
The Pedaso Carnival 2026 animated the coastal village on Saturday, February 7th. The festival began at 5 PM and continued until late at night, with music, masks, and confetti in the village streets. As tradition dictates, ample space was dedicated to entertainment for children, who were the stars of the Carnival afternoon along with their families.
As this is a village festival, the detailed program (individual shows and activities) is communicated by the Pro Loco of Pedaso closer to the event.
