The Pè del Diaol Sprint is an uphill time trial race that takes place in Comenduno, a hamlet of Albino in the province of Bergamo. The name — "devil's foot" in the local dialect — says it all about its nature: a short course, just 900 meters, but with 84 meters of elevation gain, making it a test that is as rapid as it is intense.
One by one, against the clock
The format is that of a time trial race: athletes start staggered every 45 seconds from the Cappella Alpina of Comenduno, tackling the climb one at a time. The race is open to everyone, women and men, and can attract over 150 athletes, in a succession of starts that keeps the tension high until the last competitor.
Sport and community
Organized by the Associazione Federica Albergoni, the event is much more than just a race: it's a sports festival that brings together the community of Comenduno and the Seriana Valley, with a convivial barbecue to round off the day. An event that combines athletic challenge, hilly landscape, and village spirit in the Municipality of Albino.
Pè del Diaol Sprint — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the thirteenth, will be held on Sunday, June 21, in Comenduno di Albino. Approximately 150 athletes will tackle the 900-meter climb (84m elevation gain) from the Cappella Alpina, with staggered starts every 45 seconds beginning at 8:30 AM.
The race is open to all, women and men born in 2016 and earlier. In case of bad weather, Sunday, June 28, is reserved. The day concludes with a barbecue.
