Five evenings of celebration and cremaschi tortelli in the heart of the Cremasco region
In the heart of the Cremasco region, the Municipality of Monte Cremasco, in the Province of Cremona, annually celebrates its patron saints Nazario and Celso with a festival that is among the most heartfelt in the area. The celebration takes place around the last Sunday of July and spans five evenings of intense participation.
The gastronomic heart of the festival is the tortellata, featuring the famous cremaschi tortelli โ a specialty of local tradition, with an unmistakable sweet and aromatic filling โ served in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III. The food stalls, open every evening, offer the region's traditional cuisine in a popular festive atmosphere.
The program alternates entertainment and devotion. The evenings are enlivened by live music, tribute concerts, shows, and musicals, while during the festival days, sports tournaments are held at the oratory. The religious dimension is also present, with a solemn mass and a procession on Sunday morning, and the "Aperisagra" that kicks off the main evening.
Organized by the Municipal Administration together with the Oratorio Don Bosco, the Pro Loco, and the numerous local associations โ from the Chei de la pulenta to Caritas, from the Polisportiva to other local groups โ the Patronal Festival of Monte Cremasco is the moment when the entire community comes together. A celebration that intertwines faith, sport, music, and gastronomy, preserving the identity of this corner of the Cremasco region.
In 2026, Monte Cremasco will once again celebrate its patron saints Saints Nazario and Celso with the patronal festival that animates the town every year in the last week of July.
