The village festival around the oratory, between solemn mass and dancing evening
Brenna is a small municipality in the Province of Como, nestled among the woods of Brianza, a few kilometers from Cantรน. Every year, in mid-June, the village gathers around the parish and the oratory for the feast of patron saints Gervase and Protase, Milanese martyrs whose feast day falls on June 19th.
The festival is concentrated in the oratory spaces, which become the meeting point for the entire community. Saturday evening is dedicated to the dancing evening, with a live orchestra, ballroom dancing, kitchen, and bar open: a tradition that in Brenna attracts residents and friends from neighboring villages. Sunday revolves around the solemn Holy Mass in honor of the patrons, followed by the community lunch in the oratory.
More than a major tourist event, Brenna's patronal feast is a village festival in the most authentic sense: an occasion to come together, share a meal, and keep alive a religious and popular tradition. The setting is the intimate atmosphere of the small Brianza village in the Province of Como, where the patron saint's feast remains one of the most heartfelt events of the year.
The patronal festival of Saints Gervaso and Protaso in Brenna returns on the weekend of June 13 and 14, 2026, in the spaces of the parish oratory.
The program may be subject to change: for times and reservations, please refer to the Brenna oratory's communications.
