The Patron Saint of Terno d'Isola

Saint Victor the Martyr is the patron saint of Terno d'Isola, a municipality in the Bergamo area known as Isola bergamasca, in the province of Bergamo. His feast day is the most cherished event of the year, a period when the religious dimension intertwines with the social and cultural life of the community. The program, organized by the Municipality together with the parish and local associations, spans almost two weeks, from May 5th to 17th, with a closing event on the 18th.

The Solemnity of May 8th

The religious heart of the feast is May 8th, Saint Victor's day: the Solemn Holy Mass with procession at the Parish Church is the most anticipated moment, followed in the evening by an aperitif with the presentation of the Italian Constitution to the town's eighteen-year-olds and a concert at the Sports Center. A way to link devotional tradition with the transition of new generations into the civil life of the community.

Culture, Sport, and Entertainment

A packed calendar of events revolves around the patronal date: the presentation of the Altarpiece by Enea Salmeggia (an important painter from Bergamo), an organ concert, a treasure hunt within the church, the walk "Passegiar in-Terno", a football match between administrators and old glories of Aurora with a concert, food, drink, and fireworks. The "Di corsa con Gianmaria" running race adds the sporting element, while the feast concludes with the "80 Voglia di Festa" event at the sports center.
