The patronal feast of October in Sedriano, in the Alto Milanese area
The Patronal Feast of Saint Remigius is the feast of the patron saint of Sedriano, a Municipality in the Alto Milanese area within the Metropolitan City of Milan. Saint Remigius of Reims is celebrated at the beginning of October, and the Sedriano festival traditionally takes place starting from the second Sunday of the month, extending over several consecutive days.
Organized by the Municipality of Sedriano with local associations, it is a complete village festival, combining devotional and popular aspects. For a few days, the town center, and particularly Piazza Mercato along Via Pessina, becomes the meeting point for the entire community.
The program alternates the classic elements of a village festival: the funfair and rides are active throughout the event, along with stalls, hobbyist exhibitions, and a flea market. On the gastronomic front, there's street food and dishes from the Lombard tradition offered by local restaurants. And then there's music and dancing (with evenings dedicated to country music), magic and bubble shows, exhibitions—like the Harley Davidson motorcycle display—and art exhibitions by local cultural associations, culminating in the award ceremony for the "Remigino".
It is a genuine opportunity to discover the life of the towns in the plain west of Milan and their autumn traditions.
The Patronal Feast of Saint Remigius returns to Sedriano in 2026 as an annual event, starting from the second Sunday of October. Currently, the precise dates and program have not yet been published.
