The Salvirola Festival
The Salvirola Festival is the traditional festival of Salvirola, a municipality in the Cremasco area, province of Cremona. It takes place at the end of September in the historic center, with the heart of the event in Piazza Marcora. It is a collaborative event, organized by the Municipal Administration with AIDO, AUSER, AVIS, the parish, and numerous sports and cultural associations.
Street Food, Music, and Shows
The program combines taste and entertainment: street food and refreshment stands along Via Vittoria, markets and stalls selling local products, live music with local bands, evening DJ sets, and comedy shows. There is also entertainment for children, exhibitions, and fairground rides that liven up the festival for several days.
Carriage Rides in Cremasco
Among the most characteristic offerings are the free carriage rides through the Cremasco countryside, a picturesque way to discover the agricultural landscape surrounding Salvirola. The festival traditionally concludes with a charity raffle, games in the piazza, and a lottery draw.
