The end-of-summer festival in Cornedo

The Parish Festival of Cornedo Vicentino is the big village festival of Cornedo Vicentino, a municipality in the Agno valley in the province of Vicenza. It takes place over four days around the last Sunday of August in Piazza Aldo Moro, promoted by the Parish of San Giovanni Battista with the patronage of the Municipality.

The food stand

The stars of the table are the gnocchi alla fioretta, a specialty of the Vicenza tradition prepared with "fioretta", a typical fresh cheese from the area. The food stand offers dishes from local cuisine in a convivial atmosphere that attracts residents of Cornedo and neighboring towns.

Music, shows, and Mycological Exhibition

The program alternates musical evenings with orchestras, concerts, comedy shows, disco nights, and excursions. The cultural heart of the festival is the Mycological Exhibition, dedicated to mushrooms, flowers, and wild herbs, curated by the Ecomicological Group of Cornedo, which for decades has been involved in the collection, classification, and display of mycological and botanical material.

There are also charity raffles, inflatable games for children and teenagers, and a band concert, making the Parish Festival an event for all ages, capable of uniting faith, tradition, and fun in the community of Cornedo Vicentino.
