Four days of faith, Romagnola tradition, and celebration between Poggio Berni and Camerano
The Parish Community Festival of Poggio Berni and Camerano is one of the most cherished events in the summer calendar for the hamlets of the Municipality of Poggio Torriana, in the Province of Rimini, in the heart of Valmarecchia. Born from the union of the historic Marian celebrations of the two hamlets โ the Festival of Our Lady of the Rosary in Poggio Berni and the Festival of Our Lady of Camerano โ the event brings together the inhabitants of the two villages every June in one grand community celebration.
The heart of the festival remains deeply religious. The opening evening features the Holy Mass in the Church of Sant'Andrea Apostolo in Poggio Berni, followed by the evocative torchlight procession that accompanies the image of Our Lady of the Rosary to the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata in Camerano. In the following days, the Holy Rosary, solemn masses animated by choirs and tenors, and on Sunday, the celebration presided over by the Bishop with the feast of wedding anniversaries for the community's couples, take place.
Alongside the spiritual dimension, the festival offers all the warmth of Romagnola hospitality. Every evening, the food stalls offer traditional dishes: from tripe to Romagnola specialties, from filled piadine to hamburgers, to spaghetti and the ring cake offered to participants. There are also charity raffles, live music with dance orchestras and bands, and entertainment dedicated to children, young people, and families, as well as an exhibition of works created by artists from the parish community, open for the entire duration of the event.
Poggio Torriana, born in 2014 from the merger of Poggio Berni and Torriana, is a small hilly municipality overlooking the Marecchia river valley, a few kilometers from the Rimini coast. Participating in this festival means discovering the most authentic Romagna, that of the villages, the parishes, and the village festivals that have marked the rhythm of the community for generations.
The 2026 edition confirms the traditional format: the festival opens on Thursday, June 11th, with Holy Mass and the torchlight procession of Our Lady of the Rosary, continues with the Family Festival on Friday in Camerano, and culminates on Sunday with the solemn mass presided over by the Bishop and the celebration of wedding anniversaries. Every evening, food stalls with Romagnola specialties, charity raffles, and live music and entertainment.
An exhibition of works by artists from the parish community is open for the entire duration of the festival.
The festival takes place between the hamlets of Poggio Berni and Camerano, in the Municipality of Poggio Torriana (RN), in Valmarecchia. The main events are held at the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata in Camerano and the Church of Sant'Andrea Apostolo in Poggio Berni.
By car from the A14 motorway, exit at Rimini Nord, then take the SS9 and SP258 Marecchiese towards Valmarecchia. Poggio Torriana is about 20 km from Rimini. A shuttle service between the festival points is often provided.
Admission to the festival and religious celebrations is free. Food stalls and charity raffles are paid.
