About Parish Community Festival

In the hamlets of Poggio Berni and Camerano, in the Municipality of Poggio Torriana, the Parish Community Festival returns every June: four days that intertwine religious moments, torchlight processions, solemn masses, and much conviviality. Food stalls with Romagnola specialties, charity raffles, live music with orchestras and bands, and entertainment for children and young people make this festival a cherished event for the entire Valmarecchia, in the Province of Rimini.

A festival uniting two communities

The Parish Community Festival of Poggio Berni and Camerano is one of the most cherished events in the summer calendar for the hamlets of the Municipality of Poggio Torriana, in the Province of Rimini, in the heart of Valmarecchia. Born from the union of the historic Marian celebrations of the two hamlets โ€” the Festival of Our Lady of the Rosary in Poggio Berni and the Festival of Our Lady of Camerano โ€” the event brings together the inhabitants of the two villages every June in one grand community celebration.

Faith and tradition

The heart of the festival remains deeply religious. The opening evening features the Holy Mass in the Church of Sant'Andrea Apostolo in Poggio Berni, followed by the evocative torchlight procession that accompanies the image of Our Lady of the Rosary to the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata in Camerano. In the following days, the Holy Rosary, solemn masses animated by choirs and tenors, and on Sunday, the celebration presided over by the Bishop with the feast of wedding anniversaries for the community's couples, take place.

Romagnola conviviality

Alongside the spiritual dimension, the festival offers all the warmth of Romagnola hospitality. Every evening, the food stalls offer traditional dishes: from tripe to Romagnola specialties, from filled piadine to hamburgers, to spaghetti and the ring cake offered to participants. There are also charity raffles, live music with dance orchestras and bands, and entertainment dedicated to children, young people, and families, as well as an exhibition of works created by artists from the parish community, open for the entire duration of the event.

In the heart of Valmarecchia

Poggio Torriana, born in 2014 from the merger of Poggio Berni and Torriana, is a small hilly municipality overlooking the Marecchia river valley, a few kilometers from the Rimini coast. Participating in this festival means discovering the most authentic Romagna, that of the villages, the parishes, and the village festivals that have marked the rhythm of the community for generations.
