Art exhibition from the Different Paths cycle at the Rivergaro Library
The Parallel Art exhibition features the works of Sara Falchetto and Giammarco Nicoletti in the exhibition spaces of the Rivergaro Municipal Library, in the heart of Val Trebbia in the province of Piacenza. As the title suggests, the exhibition compares two distinct artistic researches that proceed side by side, leaving the visitor the pleasure of discovering affinities and differences between the two languages.
The initiative is part of Different Paths, the series of exhibitions that the Centro di Lettura Rivergaro APS organizes periodically in the permanent exhibition space within the municipal library. The series gives visibility to artists from the Piacenza area and beyond, often young or emerging, and combines visual arts with the association's other cultural activities, from promoting reading to meetings with authors, from music to theatre.
Sara Falchetto, already present in previous events of the cycle in Rivergaro, dedicates her work primarily to drawing and the female figure, telling the experiences, encounters, and difficulties of women's lives. Her works dialogue in the exhibition with those of Giammarco Nicoletti, in an arrangement designed to convey the sense of two autonomous artistic journeys that are capable of communicating with each other.
Rivergaro is one of the most frequented villages in Val Trebbia, a historic holiday destination in the Piacenza hills. Visiting Arte Parallela is also an opportunity to discover the lively cultural life of the town, animated by the Centro di Lettura, and to combine the exhibition with a walk along the Trebbia river or in the historic center. The Municipal Library, home of the Different Paths exhibition series, is a reference point for the community and a small cultural outpost open to all.
From May 30 to June 15, 2026, the Rivergaro Municipal Library hosts Parallel Art, an exhibition that pairs the works of Sara Falchetto and Giammarco Nicoletti within the Different Paths cycle. The opening takes place on Saturday, May 30 at 4:30 PM. The exhibition juxtaposes two autonomous artistic researches, with drawing and the female figure at the center of Falchetto's work. Admission is free during library opening hours.
