Pangiallo and Polenta Festival

During the Immaculate Conception long weekend, the village of Riano, in the Lazio region, hosted a new edition of the Pangiallo and Polenta Festival, confirmed again in 2025 as a «Quality Festival» by the UNPLI. Piazza Piombino and the historic center welcomed the food stands of the Pro Loco Riano Association, with steaming polenta and pangiallo prepared according to the traditional recipe with dried fruit, honey, and candied citron.

Alongside the gastronomic offerings—roasted chestnuts, mulled wine, and typical Lazio dishes—the program featured a Christmas market with local artisans and producers, a Santa's House for children, entertainment shows, and the historical re-enactment with the national archery competition by the Archers of San Giorgio da Riano.

The edition also had a strong charitable value: the funds raised were donated to research on Ceroid Lipofuscinosis, a rare genetic disease.
