The Paella and Sangria Festival is the summer celebration that for over twenty years has brought the flavours of Spain to Bodio Lomnago, a municipality in the Province of Varese overlooking Lake Varese. For two weekends, Piazza Benemerita Arma dei Carabinieri, in the centre of the town, becomes the heart of a colourful and convivial festival.

Paella and sangria take centre stage

The main attraction is the Valencian paella, prepared on the spot in large pans, accompanied by fresh sangria. A combination that has won over the public and makes the festival an anticipated event of the Varese summer. The catering is managed by the Pro Loco, with tables and covered seating available, allowing participation even in bad weather, without the need for reservations.

Music and community spirit

Every evening, the square comes alive with live music, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Organized by the Pro Loco Pro Bodio Lomnago, the festival is much more than a gastronomic celebration: it is an occasion to promote the local area, uniting tradition, food culture, and community spirit, confirming itself as one of the most attended events in the local summer calendar.
